Jonny Moseley

Jonny Moseley won the gold medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics in the freestyle mogul event. He revolutionized skiing by bringing a non-traditional, "extreme" style to the event and became world famous for his "360 mute grab". Moseley's innovative techniques, such as incorporating a snowboard style grab into his 360-degree spin at the Olympics, played a significant role in his success and have influenced the sport of freestyle skiing. He came home a national hero and was the first skier to medal in both the X Games and the Olympics.

Jonny Moseley calls Tiburon, California home. This elite suburb is just north of San Francisco, where salaries (and house prices) are not uncommon to be a seven-figure number. Tiburon is about a 15-20 minute drive from The City. (Not counting that lovely rush hour traffic in Marin County)

Jonny Moseley was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He started skiing when he was 9, after he had returned to the US Mainland. His family went up to the Sierra Nevada every weekend. He skied his first competition around that age, signing up on a dare from his older brother. Moseley has since become one of the most influential skiers of all time, as recognized by Ski Magazine. He was inducted into the Ski Hall of Fame in 2007, reflecting his significant contributions to the sport.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Moseley has built a successful career in television, hosting shows like MTV’s "Challenge Series", "American Ninja Warrior" on NBC, and the "Jones and Moseley" show on FS1. He also serves as the Olympic and World Cup Freestyle skiing analyst for NBC and has narrated the annual Warren Miller Entertainment ski movie. Moseley's passion for the sport and his engaging personality have made him a popular figure in the media and sports commentary.

Moseley loves water-skiing, wakeboarding, and working on his '64 Pontiac Bonneville. His interest in fixing things comes from his childhood, although he has set aside golf for the time being to focus on other activities. Despite his many commitments, Moseley still finds time to enjoy simple pleasures, such as indulging in cheesecake, which he prefers plain with a touch of chocolate sauce.
