Speakers Bureau Proudly Announces Key Staff Promotions and Expands Headcount
If 2021 taught us anything, it’s that the event industry is back and thriving. Not only is new demand for speakers and entertainers on the rise, but requests from our repeat clients nearly doubled last year. When combined with our expanded portfolio supporting virtual events, it is no wonder that our company’s size also grew by a whopping 35% last year.
As AAE grows to better support our event planning clients, I am pleased to announce several staff promotions, all effective immediately.
Edie Boan, DES has been promoted to Vice President of Event Logistics. Boan has been with the company for nearly ten years, and in that time, she has seen the number of events managed by her team grow by more than 1,200%. ”Watching AAE grow over the past ten years has been amazing, especially after the challenges in 2020,” Boan said. “Not only are we still here, but we are now thriving in this new virtual event market as a result of the grit and dedication that everyone shows here at AAE.”
Our logistics team here at AAE are instrumental to our operation. They take every single event, client, and booked speaker through prep calls, tech checks, and travel arrangements until the event is successfully completed. Whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid, these team members thrived in 2021 and have been promoted to Senior Logistics Managers as a result of their dedication and service.

On the Marketing team, Jennifer Best has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing. Best joined the company in March 2020 and was a pivotal member of the company’s transition to provide speakers and entertainment for virtual events. She was recently named to George Washington University’s Digital Marketing Executive Certificate Advisory Board, and is an active member of the Forbes Communications Council and the American Marketing Association’s Triangle (NC) Chapter. “As a member of the team, it’s very motivating to be part of an organization doing something truly special,” Best said. “Our commitment to our shared mission to provide best-in-class service is clear. Our excitement about the future is widespread throughout the company, and it shows in everything we do.”
With increased demand and the return of in-person event bookings, our Sales organization also managed the surge with professionalism and responsiveness. These individuals were promoted for exceptional service to our clients and talent in 2021:
- Amanda Miller, Account Executive
- Sarah Angry, Account Executive
- Dylan Kirkpatrick, Senior Account Manager
- Maddy McPeak, DES, Senior Account Manager
- Olivia Curran, Account Manager
The most important part of AAE is our people, and the individuals recognized here greatly contribute to our success. We expect AAE to continue to grow as demand for speakers and entertainers, combined with exceptional bureau support, also grows.
When you’re ready to book your next speaker or entertainer, you’ll be in very capable hands.
