A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Athelaston Mayers in New York City's Harlem, is a globally recognized rapper, songwriter, and fashion icon. Rising to fame in the early 2010s, he became a leading figure in hip-hop with the release of his debut mixtape, Live.Love.A$AP in 2011, which featured hits like "Peso" and "Purple Swag." Signed to RCA Records and Polo Grounds Music, Rocky’s debut studio album, Long.Live.A$AP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2013, showcasing his unique blend of Southern rap influences, psychedelic beats, and introspective lyrics.
