ABBA Biography
ABBA is a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972. The members are Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The first letter of the names of the four members form the acronym "ABBA". From 1974 to 1982, ABBA topped charts worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Initially, the band consisted of two married couples, but the success put an emotional toll on ABBA's members, and both couples ended up divorcing.
ABBA's hit songs include "Dancing Queen," "Gimme A Man After Midnight," "Take A Chance on Me" and "The Winner Takes It All". The band's work features prominently in the musical Mamma Mia! and the 2008 film of the same name featuring Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried. In 2010, ABBA was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
After taking a long break from making music together, ABBA reunited in 2018.
