Aadith Moorthy is a visionary engineer and serial entrepreneur renowned for leveraging advanced technologies to tackle some of the world's most pressing environmental challenges. As the founder and CEO of Boomitra, Moorthy is at the forefront of transforming the carbon market through innovative AI and satellite technology. Boomitra, which has been named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential Companies, aims to reach gigaton-scale carbon removal by 2030. Moorthy won the prestigious Earthshot Prize in 2023, awarded by HRH Prince William, in recognition of the company's groundbreaking work as a leader in environmental innovation.

Moorthy's academic and professional journey is marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation. He holds a double major in materials science and computer science from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and is a Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University, where he is pursuing his PhD. His research has focused on developing advanced energy storage solutions, such as flow batteries for long-term grid-level energy storage, contributing significantly to the field of renewable energy.

Moorthy has also made significant impact in the agricultural sector through his earlier venture, ConserWater Technologies. ConserWater uses satellite imagery and AI to help farmers optimize water usage and predict soil moisture, nutrient, and carbon levels, enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability. The platform also launched the world's first international soil carbon market, enabling small farmers to sequester carbon and sell carbon credits, thereby contributing to global efforts to mitigate climate change.

Moorthy has earned numerous accolades, including recognition as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and several academic scholarships. He is the 2010 National Geographic Bee Champion and an accomplished South Indian classical (Carnatic) vocalist.
