Abiola Abrams

Abiola Abrams is the founder of the empowerment platform Womanifesting.com and the author of "The Sacred Bombshell Handbook of Self-Love," where she redefines "bombshell" to mean a woman who fully embraces her essence in mind, body, and spirit. As a spiritual success coach, speaker, writer, and media personality, Abrams provides transformative guidance on self-esteem, self-worth, body image, healthy relationships, and personal development. Her notable accomplishments include winning Best Self-Help Book at the African American Literary Awards for her work. She engages audiences globally, having led workshops in London, the Bahamas, Bali, and Paris, and spoken at institutions and organizations such as Dropbox and Cornell University.

Born in the United States to a Guyanese family, Abrams faced challenges growing up in an African American neighborhood where she was bullied for being "the wrong kind of black" while attending a prestigious all-girls prep school. These early experiences have significantly shaped her perspectives on culture, community, identity, and personal empowerment. Abrams has been active in media as an Essence columnist, MTV Dating Coach, and daytime talk show advisor. She has also made appearances on several major networks including the CW, BET, Discovery Channel, MTV, and the BBC to deliver motivational advice.

In addition to her writing and speaking, Abrams has produced impactful media projects such as the documentary "Knives in My Throat," which follows the challenging life of a bi-racial woman with bi-polar disorder and a schizophrenic mother. Her play "Goddess City," addressing critical women's issues, was published in the anthology "Say Word!" by the University of Michigan Press. Abrams holds a BA in sociology and creative writing from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA in women's media and storytelling from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her practice includes mindfulness, emotional freedom technique, and intuitive mindset reprogramming, demonstrating her commitment to fostering spiritual and emotional growth.
