Adam Beach

Adam Beach, a Canadian actor of Saulteaux descent, has made significant contributions to film and television both in Canada and internationally. Born in Manitoba, Beach has appeared in a diverse range of movies and TV shows. He is renowned for his roles in films such as Smoke Signals, Dance Me Outside, Joe Dirt, Flags of Our Fathers, Windtalkers, and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. In addition, he has participated in television shows like "Walker," "Texas Ranger," and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," and starred in the Canadian series "Arctic Air" and the American HBO series "Big Love."

In addition to his acting career, Beach has taken on roles behind the camera as well. He is executive-producing and starring in the movie Older Than America. He also returned to Canada to star in the TV series "Arctic Air" and later appeared on several episodes of "Backstrom" as Sheriff Jesse Rocha. His dynamic range is further exemplified as he portrays Black Hawk in the film Hostiles and hosts the Canadian chainsaw carving competition show "A Cut Above." Beach has also engaged in civic leadership, running as a candidate to lead his Lake Manitoba First Nation in 2006.

Additionally, he was nominated for the Image Awards for Outstanding Actor and the Canadian Screen Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for "Arctic Air."
