Adam Lowry

Adam Lowry is the co-founder and co-CEO of Ripple Foods, a company that makes plant-based milks and other dairy alternatives.

He is the co-founder of Method Products, a company known for its eco-friendly cleaning and personal care products. He co-founded the company in 2001 with Eric Ryan, with a mission to create cleaning products that are both effective and environmentally sustainable. Lowry’s background in chemical engineering, combined with his passion for sustainability, drove him to develop plant-based, non-toxic cleaning solutions that are safe for both consumers and the planet. (Method was sold in 2012 to Ecover, and in 2017 SC Johnson acquired Method and Ecover.)

Before co-founding Method, Lowry worked as a climate scientist at the Carnegie Institution for Science, where he focused on global climate change. His scientific background played a key role in the formulation of Method’s products, ensuring they were designed with environmental impact in mind. The company quickly became a leader in the green cleaning movement, advocating for the use of safer ingredients and responsible manufacturing practices.

In addition to his work with Method, Lowry has continued to champion sustainability and social responsibility through various initiatives and businesses. After Method’s success, he co-founded Ripple Foods, a company that produces plant-based dairy alternatives using pea protein, which aims to provide healthier and more sustainable food options.

Lowry's commitment to environmental innovation has earned him numerous accolades, including being named an Ashoka Fellow for his work in social entrepreneurship and sustainability.
