Adam Peaty

Adam George Peaty, OBE is a British competitive swimmer specializing in breaststroke. He has represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games, World Championships, and European Championships, and England at the Commonwealth Games. He retained his Olympic title in the 100m breaststroke, becoming the first British swimmer to do so. His record-breaking performance in this event at the 2016 Olympics marked the first gold medal by a male British swimmer in 24 years. He holds the world record in both the 50m and 100m breaststroke events.

Peaty is an Olympic Champion, an eight-time World Champion, a twelve-time European Champion, and a three-time Commonwealth Champion. He has set world records 14 times in the breaststroke, notably being the first man to swim under 26 seconds for the 50m breaststroke and under both 58 and 57 seconds for the 100m breaststroke. He uniquely holds 19 of the top 20 fastest times ever recorded in the 100m breaststroke. His success extends beyond individual events; he won a silver medal in the 4x100m Medley Relay at the Rio Olympics, recording the fastest breaststroke split in history at 56.59 seconds. He is highly celebrated, having received an MBE in 2016 and an OBE in 2022 for his contributions to swimming and mental health.

Off the pool, Peaty participated in "Strictly Come Dancing" and authored a book titled "The Gladiator Mindset." As a keynote speaker, he covers a variety of topics including resilience, motivation, and leadership, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and mental health in his presentations. His talks often focus on overcoming adversity and personal success, drawing on his extensive experience as a decorated athlete.
