In 2018, he has relentlessly criticized the Trump administration and its policies, provided excellent analysis of white nationalists in America, and has unpacked the developments around the FBI, the Justice Department and the ever-changing status of the Paul Manafort-Michael Cohen corruption case. Serwer also wrote perhaps the best critical essay of Black Panther's Erik Killmonger.
Previously, Serwer was the national editor at BuzzFeed. Serwer’s pre-BuzzFeed roles included stints as a reporter at MSNBC and Mother Jones.
