Adrienne Warren

Adrienne Warren stepped onto the Broadway stage for the first time in 2012 with the musical "Bring It On". She quickly made a name for herself in the industry, receiving a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical in 2016 for her role in "Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed". In 2018, she took on the role of Tina Turner in the West End production of "Tina", earning critical praise for her performance.

Warren's portrayal of Tina Turner continued in the Broadway production of "Tina", which won her the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2020. That same year, she also made her first leading television role in the ABC limited series "Women of the Movement", where she played Mamie Till-Mobley. Beyond the stage and screen, her talents extended to narration, as she lent her voice to the audiobook of Tina Turner's memoir "Happiness Becomes You" in December 2020.

In 2022, Warren moved to the big screen, appearing in the film "The Woman King" alongside Viola Davis. She has also had roles in popular television series like "Blue Bloods", "Orange Is the New Black", and "Black Box". Her upcoming projects include starring in "The Last Five Years" on Broadway with Nick Jonas in 2024. Her consistent excellence in performance has earned her multiple award nominations, including the Laurence Olivier Award and Drama Desk Award, and she has also been shortlisted for the Evening Standard Theatre Awards, BroadwayWorld UK Awards, and WhatsOnStage Awards, among others.
