Agnieszka Radwanska

Agnieszka Radwańska is a retired Polish tennis player known for her exceptional shot-making, strategic play, and remarkable consistency on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour. She turned professional in 2005 and quickly established herself as one of the most talented and intelligent players of her generation, winning the WTA Award for Most Impressive Newcomer in 2006.

Radwańska's breakthrough year came in 2012 when she reached the Wimbledon final, making history as the first Polish player to compete in a Grand Slam singles final in the Open Era. Although she finished as the runner-up to Serena Williams, her performance at Wimbledon catapulted her to a career-high ranking of world No. 2. Over her career, Radwańska won 20 WTA singles titles, including the prestigious WTA Finals in 2015. She announced her retirement in November 2018, citing physical challenges and a desire to preserve her health.

Known affectionately as "Aga" by her fans, Radwańska was also highly regarded for her sportsmanship and professionalism on and off the court. She was awarded the WTA Fan Favorite Award for six consecutive years from 2011 to 2016. For her accomplishments in sport and for representing her country with distinction, she was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit in 2013.

Post-retirement, Radwańska has remained involved in tennis through various roles, including coaching and participating in exhibition matches.
