Aimee Christensen

Aimée Christensen is the founder and CEO of Christensen Global, a sustainability advisory firm where she collaborates with visionary leaders, leveraging deep expertise and a diverse network of relationships to mobilize resources to build an equitable, secure, and restorative world. She advises climate solutions innovators such as Aleph Farms, Hempitecture and RiskThinking.AI; global impact initiatives including the Clinton Global Initiative, The Elders, and Global Ocean Commission; major corporations like Duke Energy, FEMSA, Microsoft, Swiss Re and Virgin; and philanthropies, including Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the United Nations Foundation.

Over her 30 year career, Christensen has been a policymaker at The White House and U.S. Department of Energy, a climate and clean energy lawyer at the World Bank and Baker & McKenzie, and Climate Maven at Google. She negotiated the first U.S. climate change agreements (US-Costa Rica 1994, et al) and she successfully advocated for the adoption of the first climate investment responsibility policy which was adopted by Stanford University’s Board of Trustees in 1999. She launched Google's first climate impact project, RechargeIT, to accelerate the electrification of transportation and gained Google’s 2007 commitment to carbon neutrality. Additionally, Christensen served as Senior Adviser to the United Nations Secretary General’s High-level Group on Sustainable Energy For All and founded and led the Sun Valley Institute for Resilience and Sun Valley Forum.

Christensen, a sought-after speaker and moderator, is a 2010 Aspen Institute Catto Fellow, the 2011 Leadership Laureate of the Hillary Institute (New Zealand), and a 2020 Idaho Business Review Woman of the Year. She has a BA from Smith College and a JD from Stanford Law School.
