Albane Valenzuela is a Swiss professional golfer. Valenzuela was born in New York City to a Mexican father and a French mother, and she became a Swiss citizen at age 14.
Valenzuela played golf for Stanford University, from which she was expected to graduate in 2020. However, Valenzuela turned professional in late 2019, cutting her college career short. Valenzuela is one of the most decorated golfers in Stanford history.
Valenzuela is the #1 ranked golfer in Switzerland, and she qualified for and competed in the 2016 Olympic Games. In the 2016 Olympic Games, Valenzuela was the youngest competitor in the women's golf competition.
Valenzuela is fluent in four languages -- English, French, Spanish, and German -- and, along with her brother, started a foundation that raises money for autism awareness.
