Alex Moffat is an actor and comedian who carved out his niche in the world of comedy through his significant role on the NBC sketch comedy series "Saturday Night Live" (SNL). Moffat's involvement with the show began in its 42nd season in 2016, initially as a featured player, before he was promoted to a repertory cast member in 2018. Throughout his six-year tenure on SNL, which ended in 2022, Moffat left a lasting impression with his comedic talent and knack for mimicry.
Notable highlights from Moffat's SNL career include replacing Jim Carrey as Joe Biden in a 2020 cold open and his portrayal of Prince Harry in a 2018 spoof. Further demonstrating his range, Moffat attracted attention in 2021 with his mimicry of Trump and was featured in an SNL parody of the competitive cooking show "Chopped" in 2019. He also played a part in a 2018 cold open that trolled Mark Zuckerberg and Fox News, demonstrating his ability to blend humor with topical and political commentary.
