Alex Morse is the current mayor of Holyoke, Massachusetts. He was elected in 2011 at the age of 22 years old, becoming the youngest mayor of Holyoke. Morse is also the city's first openly gay mayor. He has won reelection in 2013, 2015, and 2017. Morse's major initiatives include offering refuge to displaced Puerto Ricans after Hurrican Maria, encouraging legal marijuana businesses and restoring the city's downtown. In 2019, he was recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in Law & Policy.
