As one of the world’s foremost experts on accountability and commitment, Alex Sheen is a five-time TEDxTalk speaker, author, podcast host, and internationally recognized humanitarian. He is the founder of the "because I said I would" movement, a global initiative focused on the importance of promises and personal integrity. Following the loss of his father on September 4, 2012, Sheen initiated the distribution of Promise Cards at no cost to anyone who requested them. This gesture marked the beginning of the "because I said I would" social movement and nonprofit organization, dedicated to bettering humanity through promises made and kept. Since then, over 14.1 million Promise Cards have been sent to 178 countries.
