Alexandra Pelosi

Alexandra Pelosi is a journalist, documentary filmmaker, and writer with a career spanning nearly two decades. Pelosi's extensive experience in the field began with a decade-long stint as a field producer at NBC News. Her documentary, "Journeys with George," was a significant milestone in her career, earning her six Emmy nominations.

Over the course of her career, Pelosi has produced, directed, and filmed 14 documentaries, with 13 of them being collaborations with Sheila Nevins. Her body of work includes notable documentaries such as "Friends of God: A Road Trip with Alexandra Pelosi," "The Trials of Ted Haggard," and "Right America: Feeling Wronged - Some Voices from the Campaign Trail." In addition to her work in documentaries, Pelosi is also an accomplished writer. Her book, "Sneaking into the Flying Circus: How the Media Turn Our Presidential Campaigns into Freak Shows," provides a unique perspective on her experiences following the Democratic candidates during the 2004 Democratic primaries.

Pelosi's documentaries often tackle social issues and political events. For example, her 2010 HBO film "Homeless: The Motel Kids of Orange County" delves into the lives of the children of the working poor in California.
