Alexandria Lafci Biography
Alexandria Lafci believes construction innovation is a prerequisite for solving the global housing crisis and is on a mission to find founders working to support construction’s long overdue digital revolution. She grew up in Section 8 housing and has a personal commitment to working on housing equity.
Prior to investing full time, Lafci spent eight years as co-founder and COO of New Story, a non-profit focused on solutions to end global homelessness. In this role, her focus was construction management, selling to governments, and adapting technology to new markets. She led a team that raised over $80 million and built thousands of homes across Latin America, including the world’s first 3D printed community of homes (profiled on Apple TV+ original series, Home).
Lafci is an alumni of Y Combinator and serves on the technical review board of the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL). She lives with her husband in San Francisco.
