Allan Golston Biography
Allan C. Golston is President of U.S. Program at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Mr. Golston leads the foundation’s efforts to reduce inequities and increase access to opportunities for low-income and disadvantaged Americans. He oversees the foundation’s Education, U.S. Libraries, and Pacific Northwest grant programs, as well as U.S. Program Advocacy and Special Initiatives.
Golston joined the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 1999, most recently served as its Chief Financial and Administrative Officer.
He is a Member of the Board of Directors at Charter Fund, Inc. He serves as Director for Malt O'Meal, a privately held breakfast cereal corporation. Mr. Golston served as Director of Finance for Swedish Health Services.
An active community volunteer, Golston serves on the boards of a number of regional and national organizations. He has been Director of Stryker Corporation since January 1, 2011.
Golston is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an M.B.A. from Seattle University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Colorado.
