Alua Arthur is the founder of Going with Grace, an organization focused on redefining what it means to die gracefully. In her work as a death doula, she helps individuals and families navigate the emotional, legal and spiritual issues that arise around death, and helps educate fellow death doulas around the world in non-medical end-of-life care.
Arthur, a former lawyer, is the author of "Briefly Perfectly Human: Making an Authentic Life by Getting Real About the End" and speaks regularly on how to bring awareness to dying -- and how that process can inspire us to live with verve.
Arthur was a mainstage speaker at the 2023 TED Conference, a keynote speaker at EndWell 2019, and has been featured in the LA Times, Vogue, Refinery29, The Doctors, and InStyle. She is inspired by the gift of LIFE itself and is always on the quest for the best donuts and fried plantains!
