Amy Larkin

Amy is an award-winning entrepreneur and producer who has launched cultural institutions, co-founded one of the first affinity-marketing businesses, and been involved with Greenpeace for 30 years--as a board member, adviser and, since 2005, as Director of Greenpeace Solutions. She also currently serves as the Chair of the Board of the ARChive of Contemporary Music, the largest collection of contemporary music in the world.

Amy is a leader of Greenpeace International's F-gas work. The organization's 25 year campaign to eliminate dangerous refrigeration and cooling chemicals resulted in two recent notable achievements. In November 2010, as a direct result of Greenpeace work, the Consumer Goods Forum, (a consortium of 400 multinationals), agreed to eliminate HFCs from all new equipment starting in 2015. In May 2011, these efforts were recognized with the prestigious Roy Award from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government for Refrigerants, Naturally!, a public/private partnership that includes several large corporations, UNEP and Greenpeace.

Amy's passion for intersecting the public and private spheres inspired her to co-found Message!Check Corp. (City of Seattle’s 1989 Small Business of the Year) which delivered $10 million to its non-profit partners in license fees. In the 1990s, Amy served as Executive Producer of Fabrica, Benetton’s Institute of Arts and Communication, created the program plan for the City of San Jose’s $500 million Civic Center, and launched the Real Estate Initiative for the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council following September 11th.
