Anand Pillai

Anand Pillai is the Managing Director of Leadership Matters, Inc., a company focusing on building an intrapreneurial culture in organizations. He is also the Adjunct Professor for Strategy and Leadership at IMT Ghaziabad. Additionally, he has been serving as the Chief Transformation Officer at MothersonSumi INfotech & Designs Ltd. since September of 2020.

With more than 35 years of rich experience in the corporate world, Pillai has handled challenging assignments in general management and as head of operations (from GM to CEO to CLO) in Fortune 500 companies.

In addition, Pillai is a leadership coach and organization transformation guru. His focus is on ensuring that clients lift their performance skills and behaviors, apply best management practices, and hold individuals accountable for their own learning and development. He has coached CXOs and senior and middle managers across the IT, finance, banking and insurance, manufacturing, government, and hospitality sectors.

He has been a sought-after speaker at many national and international forums in addition to frequent guest lecturing at the leading business schools. He has done extensive research on cross-cultural relationships, entrepreneurship, and innovation, and is often consulted on these subjects.

Pillai is certified to conduct leadership courses from various international bodies (including the Situational Leadership® II from Ken Blanchard companies) and is also a MBTI trainer for Step I and Step II. Pillai has specialized in advanced applications of psychometric instruments in the areas of leadership communication, sales and customer relationship, negotiating for value, and team building.
