Andre Tippett

Andre Tippett has served as the Executive Director of Community Affairs for the New England Patriots since 2007. Tippett's football career is one of notable achievements, being named NFL co-Defensive Player of the Year in 1985 and earning selection to the Pro Bowl five times between 1984 and 1988. Further accolades include being a two-time First-team All-Pro (1985, 1987), a two-time Second-team All-Pro (1986, 1988), and a member of the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team. His college career was equally fruitful, as he was recognized as a Consensus All-American in 1981 while playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

In addition to his accomplishments on the field, Tippett has received numerous Hall of Fame recognitions. He was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2008 and is also a member of the New England Patriots Hall of Fame. His contributions to the Patriots were further honored when he was selected to both the Patriots' 35th Anniversary Team in 1994 and the Patriots Team of the Century in 2000. Other hall of fame inductees include the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2009, the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2012, and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2021.

Continuing his string of impressive achievements, Tippett was voted to Pro Football Weekly's All-Time 3–4 defensive team in 2008 and is listed in the NFL's 100 sacks club. Beyond his football career, Tippett has also found personal fulfillment in the practice of karate.
