Andrew Busch

Andrew Busch is the former first chief market intelligence officer for the U.S. government’s Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), where he was tasked with improving policymakers’ understanding of markets and the economy. His role involved synthesizing news and data into concise, comprehensible research, and communicating those insights to the government and public. Busch provided economic and market briefings to the White House, House of Representatives, Senate, SEC, Federal Reserve Board, and U.S. Treasury staff on a broad range of issues including interest rates, inflation, China’s influence on trade, and the impact of technology on the economy.

Before his tenure at the CFTC, he was the CEO and founder of Bering Productions, Inc. (BPI), a boutique financial markets and policy research firm. Prior to founding BPI, Busch served as the global currency and public policy strategist for Bank of Montreal (BMO) in Chicago.

Currently, Busch works as a consultant and keynote speaker, engaging clients across diverse industries such as chemicals, financial services, energy, real estate, manufacturing, construction, and agriculture. He is the author of "World Event Trading," a book that examines the economic impact of large crises such as wars and disease outbreaks.
