Andrew Lanham Biography
Andrew Lanham is an award-winning screenwriter. He is known for writing Just Mercy, The Kid (II), The Glass Castle, and The Shack.
In 2019, Lanham cowrote Just Mercy, starring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan. The film was nominated for the Oglethorpe Award for Excellence in Georgia Cinema and the Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture by the NAACP Image Awards.
He won one of five fellowships from the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting's 2010 competition with his script, The Jumper of Maine.
Lanham got his MFA in screenwriting at the University of Texas at Austin. He also won the Drama and Latitude screenwriting awards at the Austin Film Festival in 2010, which he says opened the door to the industry for him.
