Angela Braly

Ms. Angela F. Braly, Bray served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of WellPoint Inc., a Parent Company of Blue Cross of California, Inc. from June 1, 2007 to August 2012. Ms. Braly served as Chairman of the Board of WellPoint Inc. from March 1, 2010 to August 28, 2012. Ms. Braly served as Corporate Secretary, Executive Vice President and General Counsel at RightChoice Managed Care, Inc. since January 1999. She served as an Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Public Affairs Officer of Wellpoint Inc. since April 1, 2005. She served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She was responsible for the legal, corporate secretary, government relations and corporate communications functions and also having additional responsibilities to Federal Employee Program of Wellpoint Inc. She served as Head of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri since December 20, 2004. Ms. Braly served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Missouri (BCBSMo) from August 2003 to April 2005. She was responsible for managing all aspects of BCBSMo businesses and for setting strategies to meet customer needs. She joined RightCHOICE Managed Care Inc. in January 1999, then the parent company of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri, as general counsel, also overseeing government relations. In this position at RightCHOICE, Ms. Braly was instrumental in resolving a number of difficult legal issues affecting Wellpoint Inc. She played a key role in managing the legal strategy that resulted in a settlement agreement with Missouri regulators and the creation of The Missouri Foundation for Health. Prior to joining Blue Cross in 1999, she served as a Partner in the St. Louis law firm of Lewis, Rice & Fingersh, L.C. She has been a Director of Procter & Gamble Co since December 8, 2009. She serves as a Director of America's Health Insurance Plans. She served as a Director of Wellpoint Inc. from June 1, 2007 to August 28, 2012. She was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the "25 Most Influential Women in Business for 2000". Ms. Braly received her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University School of Law and her Undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University.
