Ann Bastianelli is President and CEO of Anthology Consulting, and the Senior Lecturer of Marketing at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. An expert in interpreting consumer behavior trends and developing compelling marketing campaigns, Ann is known for her ability to coach companies and individuals so that they can discover what is possible, probable, and preferable for them.
Ann has been quoted extensively in the Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age, Ad Week, abcnews.com, The Los Angeles Times, ESPN Magazine, and Fast Company.com. She has been ESPN’s advertising expert for Super Bowl advertising, and has authored numerous articles and books on marketing, consumer trends, and strategy, including The Marketing Communications Toolbox and “What Matters Most: The Heart’s Desires in Life and Death.” She is also the editor of Business Plans Kits for Dummies and Strategic Planning for Dummies and produces and hosts the cable TV program, Market Ready. A member of Who’s Who in Marketing, Ann is a popular and dynamic motivational speaker, having delivered keynotes for Fortune 500 companies throughout North America and Canada. She has held leadership positions in the world’s most admired organizations, including McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, Kraft, Leo Burnett, DowBrands, Franklin-Covey, IKON Office Solutions, Hillenbrand Industries, and Indiana University, where she was basketball coach Bobby Knight’s press agent. Ann earned both her undergraduate and MBA degrees from Indiana University, where she also played varsity volleyball. She is President Emeritus of the I-Association, and served several terms on the University’s Athletics Committee. Ann joined the faculty at the Kelley School of Business in 2002, and has taught at all three levels: undergraduate, graduate, and executive education. She has received numerous teaching awards, including Most Motivational Faculty and the I.U. Trustees Teaching Award.
Ann takes particular pride in the fact that her son Christian is also a Kelley School graduate, played football for the Hoosiers, and has returned to get his MBA at IU.
