Anne Finucane

Anne Finucane has significantly contributed to the banking sector since 1995, starting her career with Fleet Financial and later moving to Bank of America. Until her retirement in 2021, she held positions as the vice chair of Bank of America and chair of the board of Bank of America Europe, where she was the first woman in the company's history to do so. In addition to these roles, Finucane chaired the Bank of America Charitable Foundation and co-chaired the company's sustainable markets committee, demonstrating her commitment to socially responsible investing and sustainability. Outside of her banking career, Finucane has dedicated her time to several organizations. She is a Council on Foreign Relations member and has led the bank's global public policy and environmental, social, and corporate governance committee. She has also served as president of the Massachusetts Women's Forum and the chief of the JFK Library Foundation. Expanding her leadership roles, she has been on the board of various public, private, and non-profit organizations.

Finucane's influence reaches beyond banking and into the realm of social justice, as evidenced by several awards and honors. She has been listed as one of the "Most Powerful Women" by Fortune magazine and recognized as one of the "Most Powerful Women in Banking" in multiple years by American Banker. Her contributions have also been highlighted with a listing as one of the "50 Most Influential CMOs of 2014" by Forbes and a place in the Advertising Hall of Fame. She has been distinguished as a "Bostonian" by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and featured in Boston's Power Couples list. In addition, she has received recognition from the International Women's Media Foundation with the Courage in Journalism award, an inclusion in their list of Lifetime Achievement recipients, and the Gwen Ifill Award for Journalism Excellence.
