Arzu Unal joined Y&R in 1992, having started her career at Procter & Gamble. She was made managing director of Y&R Istanbul in 1998 following five consecutive years of growth, and later took on responsibility for Mediaedge:cia. Following the departure of the Y&R CEO, along with half its clients and talent, she returned and successfully re-established its primacy. Under her leadership Y&R Istanbul won Turkey’s first Cannes Grand Prix and was named Agency of the Year. She is very active in female empowerment initiatives in Turkey.
