Ashley Tyrner

Ashley Tyrner is the founder and CEO of FarmboxRx, a pioneering company in the healthy food delivery industry. Under her leadership, FarmboxRx has become a leader in providing fresh, organic produce directly to consumers' doorsteps, promoting healthier lifestyles and making nutritious food more accessible to a wider audience. Tyrner's vision and entrepreneurial spirit have been instrumental in transforming how people access fresh produce, addressing food deserts, and supporting sustainable farming practices.

Tyrner's journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur was fueled by her personal experiences as a single mom on food stamps. In 2014, she launched FarmboxRx, aiming to break down barriers to health equity through nutrition and health literacy. Since then, she has worked within food policy alongside Sam Kass during the Obama administration to create partnerships for Michelle Obama’s Let's Move Campaign and created pilot programs for SNAP/EBT with the USDA. Today, Tyrner’s primary focus is driving change within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid for a more holistic approach to nutrition access and health outcomes. FarmboxRx has also contracted with over 90 health plans across the country to bring food as medicine for those who are food insecure or fighting chronic disease with nutrition.
