Ashly Perez Biography
Ash Perez (he/they) is a first-generation, queer, Cuban, Korean, and Filipino writer, director, actor, and producer. He got his start in media working at Buzzfeed from 2013-2018. In 2020, they published a book called “Read This for Inspiration” with Clarkson Potter, in addition to working as a senior producer on the Biden/Harris presidential campaign.
Perez currently works in television, having written for “Good Trouble” and “Home Economics”. Ash is currently developing a pilot script with abc, called “the youngest one” about how his parents met working in a hospital together.
