Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza is an actress, comedian, and producer known for her deadpan humor and distinctive comedic style.

Plaza began her career in improv and sketch comedy, performing with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York. Her breakthrough role came in 2009 when she was cast as April Ludgate, the sarcastic and dry-witted intern, in the NBC hit series "Parks and Recreation." Plaza’s performance quickly became a fan favorite, and her character became iconic for her unique blend of cynicism and charm. Subsequently, her portrayal of Harper in the HBO anthology series "The White Lotus" earned her nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award.

Plaza's versatility and talent have been showcased not only in live-action roles but also in the realm of animation, where she has voiced characters in series and films such as "The Legend of Korra" and "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever." She played a supporting role in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and a leading one in "Safety Not Guaranteed." Additionally, she portrayed the Shadow King and Lenny Busker in the critically praised FX superhero series "Legion," and produced and starred in the 2017 black comedy films "The Little Hours" and "Ingrid Goes West." She also starred in the romantic comedy "Happiest Season" and thriller "Black Bear" as well as produced and played the title character in the crime film "Emily the Criminal." She has also made guest appearances on television series such as "Portlandia," "Drunk History," and "Criminal Minds."

Her continued growth and influence in the industry led to Plaza being named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME in 2023 and on the magazine's list of Latino Leaders in 2024. She continues to showcase her work, on stage in an off-Broadway revival of "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea"; in the Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries "Agatha All Along"; and in the Sundance Film Festival favorite, "My Old Ass" as well as in film roles in John Waters's "Liarmouth" and Francis Ford Coppola's "Megalopolis."
