Caplan's primary responsibilities at the firm are focused on the Yankelovich MONITOR. The Yankelovich MONITOR has tracked values, beliefs, and lifestyles for over 25 years, providing a reliable, scientific view on the future. She is instrumental in client service at Yankelovich and plays a significant role in the firm's presentations and public engagements.
Caplan has collaborated extensively with major companies such as General Mills, American Express, Meredith Corporation, Avon, AARP, and Sara Lee. She is an author and lecturer on consumer trends, having published articles and essays in Marketing News and the Arthur Anderson Retail Letter. Caplan earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Smith College and a master's degree in psychology from Columbia University and Sarah Lawrence College.
