Menopause Taylor, also known as “Menopause Barbie,” is an Obstetrician / Gynecologist who retired from active practice in 2001 due to severe arthritis. Despite the fact that she had a law degree and a master’s in business at the time of her retirement (she’s a real nerd and loves school), her true passion has always been helping women.

Her arthritis forced her to take some time off and learn to take care of herself rather than only take care of others. So she learned to manage her arthritis, and has overcome the dire prognosis anticipated for it’s chronic, progressive nature. From 2004 until September 2016, she moved to a different country each year, learned other languages, and inspired women in other ways.

Despite this “dream life” of moving to different countries, for Barbie, it was merely her alternate dream life. Her real dream was to be able to do what she did before her retirement — take care of women. No matter where she lived, she felt a passionate need to contribute to women’s lives. And her very favorite focus was menopause. In some ways, she feels her arthritis was a gift rather than a curse. Why? Because, while she would prefer not to have it, she’s learned to manage it. It has served as a wake-up call that has given her the incentive to make her situation as good as possible. And that’s exactly what she wants to do for menopausal women.

In 2008, she published her book, Menopause: Your Management Your Way … Now and for the Rest of Your Life, and developed a two-day menopause seminar. In June 2016, she began delivering her unbiased, comprehensive menopause education on YouTube. Because of the severely inadequate educational and support services available for women before, during, and after the transition into menopause, she now offers a vast array of services to enable you to manage your menopause your way. Whether you prefer traditional medical options or alternative and complementary options, Menopause Taylor strives to meet your needs. In addition to her YouTube videos and her menopause book, she offers both live and on-demand presentations of her two-day seminar, one-on-one consultations, and a radio show.
