Ben Cook

Ben Cook is a program director, facilitator, and keynote speaker whose expertise in Performance Instruction and Training (PIT) has guided him through various roles in the sports and motorsports industries. He previously served as a strength coach at the University of North Carolina under Coach Dean Smith, contributing to the basketball team's success in reaching four Final Fours. Cook also expanded his coaching skills to the motorsports arena, serving as a pit crew coach and strength coach for high-profile teams such as Evernham Motorsports, Red Bull Racing, and Michael Waltrip Racing.

In December 2010, Cook transitioned from his role as the SEO Manager for Network Solutions to found Direct Match Media, a St. Louis-based search marketing firm. His experience in the search engine optimization industry since late 2004 has helped various companies achieve first-page rankings across competitive niches including real estate, sports, and technology sectors.

Today, Cook focuses on delivering interactive keynote presentations and specialized programs that leverage his diverse background. His programs often feature personal anecdotes, helmet cam video footage from Cup races, and experiences from his days in the pits and at UNC. He customizes his speaking programs to meet specific objectives, ranging from general programs to specialized topics like team building or improved communications. His featured keynote program, "Think Inside the Box," focuses on the Pit Crew Performance Model, offering unique insights into team dynamics and performance enhancement.
