Bennett Arron

Bennett Arron is an award-winning writer, comedian, author, and TV presenter renowned for his humorous yet insightful approach to discussing serious topics such as identity theft.

He has written and performed in two radio series, "Bennett Arron is Jewelsh" and "Bennett Arron Worries About…," both of which were nominated for a Celtic Media Award, and he continues to present on BBC 3 Counties Radio. He recently starred in the Radio 4 series "ALONE."

Arron's significant contributions to television include presenting the BBC documentary "The Kosher Comedian," where he traced his family’s roots from Lithuania to South Wales. He also directed and presented the impactful Channel 4 documentary "How To Steal An Identity," where he assumed the identity of the Home Secretary. This documentary was highlighted as Pick of the Day in The Guardian and The Telegraph and led to changes in the UK Driving License Application Form. His television work also includes hosting "Glee Time" for ITV and presenting on "Big Brother's Little Brother" for Channel 4. His documentary work and engaging presentation style have earned him recognition as an expert on identity theft.

Arron has performed internationally, entertaining audiences not only across the UK but also in Italy, Australia, Germany, Poland, South Africa, and Hong Kong. Notably, he was the opening keynote speaker at Auscert in Australia, addressing 2,000 delegates with a presentation that included video clips from his BAFTA shortlisted documentary.

In addition to his broadcasting career, Arron has penned numerous scripts for comedy programmes such as "The 11 O' Clock Show," "Commercial Breakdown," "Hit The Road Jack," "Off Their Rockers," and the BAFTA-winning "V Graham Norton." He also contributed to children's programming, writing over 30 episodes of "Genie in The House" and was a main writer for the BAFTA-winning "Slammer."

His literary contributions include the memoir "Heard The One About Identity Theft?" which has enjoyed international sales, and the romantic comedy novel "The Girl From The Discotheque."

Arron's accolades include the TAPS Comedy Writer of the Year Award, the BBC New Writer's Award, and the Unsung Hero Award in recognition of his significant contributions to raising awareness about fraud and cyber security.
