Bianca Jagger

Bianca Jagger is a prominent international human rights and climate change advocate. She is the Founder and Chair of the Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation, Council of Europe Goodwill Ambassador, Member of the Executive Director's Leadership Council of Amnesty International USA, Trustee of the Amazon Charitable Trust, and on the advisory board of the Creative Coalition.

For over 30 years, she has campaigned for human rights, social and economic justice, and environmental protection globally. Jagger has been a vocal advocate for the rights of indigenous populations in Latin America, tirelessly working to stop the genocide in Bosnia and campaigning against the death penalty. Her work led to significant recognitions, such as the "Abolitionist of the Year Award" by the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty in 1996. Moreover, her conservation efforts were honored with the Green Globe award by the Rain Forest Alliance in 1997.

Jagger has received multiple prestigious awards for her activism. These include the Right Livelihood Award, also known as the "alternative Nobel Prize," which she was awarded twice, first in 2004, for her extensive campaigning over a wide range of issues. She also received the World Achievement Award from Mikhail Gorbachev, the United Nations Earth Day International Award in 1994 for her efforts in Latin America, and the World Citizenship Award from The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation. Her dedication to global justice and environmental causes continues to be recognized and celebrated worldwide.
