Big Smo

John Lee Smith, known by his stage name Big Smo, is an American country/rap musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and film director.

Homegrown in Tennessee and the self-proclaimed "Boss of the Stix," Smo got his start creating homemade videos for YouTube. After several independent and minor label releases, Smo's major label debut studio album, Kuntry Livin', was released in 2014 and charted on three Billboard charts. He was the subject of an eponymous reality television series on A&E that began in 2014.

Since 2014, Smo has released two more major label studio albums: We the People (2016) and Special Reserve (2018).

Big Smo's self-entitled A&E Network show, an original series produced by Brownstone Entertainment, was an inside look at his life and career, and the friends, fans, and family who shared and supported his journey.

Called "Hick Ross" and "The King of Hick Hop, Smo has racked up over 16 million views on YouTube and sold over 150,000 digital tracks. The breakthrough was "Kickin' It In Tennessee," a song and video celebration that went viral, helping draw new fans to live shows whose over-the-top energy makes believers and brought Smo to the attention of Warner Music Nashville senior executives.
