Bill McDermott

Bill McDermott is one of the technology industry’s most accomplished leaders. In November 2019, he joined ServiceNow as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Member of the Board of Directors. ServiceNow, the fastest-growing enterprise cloud company at scale, aims to make the world of work better for people.

Before his current role at ServiceNow, McDermott was the Chief Executive Officer of SAP, the largest maker of business software, with over 100,000 employees and 425,000 customers worldwide. During his time at SAP, the company's market value increased from $39B to more than $160B. McDermott's leadership at SAP also led to the company becoming the first multi-national technology firm to receive the Economic Dividends for Gender Equality (EDGE) certificate. He authored the best-selling memoir "Winners Dream: A Journey from Corner Store to Corner Office" in 2014, which details his rise from a small business owner to leadership roles at major companies like Xerox, Gartner, Siebel Systems, and SAP.

McDermott has received numerous awards for his business and civic leadership, including the Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s Lifetime Achievement Award and the Children’s Aid Society of New York’s Promise Award. McDermott holds an MBA in Business Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
