Bill Pullman

Bill Pullman is a film, stage, and television actor. After graduating with a Master of Fine Arts degree in theater, Pullman worked as an adjunct professor at Montana State University before deciding to pursue acting. His film career took off with his role in the 1986 film Ruthless People and has since encompassed a range of iconic films such as Spaceballs, The Accidental Tourist, Sleepless In Seattle, While You Were Sleeping, Casper, Independence Day, Lost Highway, and Lake Placid. His role in Independence Day also won him a Saturn Award for Best Actor.

Pullman's television roles have been just as notable, with regular appearances not only in TV films but also in miniseries and regular series since the 2000s. He has had starring roles in "1600 Penn" and "The Sinner," and most recently, appeared in the miniseries "Halston" as well as the two-part Lifetime series "Murdaugh Murders: The Movie," in which he starred as Alex Murdaugh, a South Carolina attorney convicted of murdering his wife and son.

Parallel to his successful film and television career, Pullman has remained active in theater. He has graced the Broadway stage multiple times, including a turn in Edward Albee's "The Goat or "Who is Sylvia?" in 2002, which earned him the prestigious Tony Award for Best Play. His recent stage performances include a role in "Mad House" in 2022.

Pullman is also an MS Society Ambassador, working to raise awareness and support for those affected by multiple sclerosis. He is a co-owner of a cattle ranch in Montana.
