Bill Sammon

Bill Sammon is the FOX News Washington deputy managing editor.

Previously, Sammon served as the White House correspondent for The Washington Times. He also wrote for The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, where he spent two years uncovering widespread corruption at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, prompting investigations into voter fraud that resulted in the ouster of top election officials from both political parties.

With over 25 years of experience in the news business, Bill Sammon was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for his investigative reporting on illegal fund-raising by the Teamsters and the Democratic Party. He spent much of his time covering significant political events, including the closely contested presidential race, and was one of the first reporters on the scene in Tallahassee for the post-election standoff, remaining there until its conclusion. Sammon is recognized for his in-depth interviews with prominent political figures such as President George W. Bush, Karl Rove, and Vice President Dick Cheney. His presentations are noted for providing insights into the human side of political figures without focusing on performance analysis, and audiences appreciate his knowledge which spans across different political perspectives.

A native of Ohio, he lives outside Washington with his wife, Becky, and their five children.
