Bill Treasurer

Bill Treasurer is the founder and Chief Encouragement Officer at Giant Leap Consulting (GLC), a company specializing in courage-building. He is also the author of "Right Risk" (Berrett-Koehler, 2003), a book about personal courage based on his experiences as both an organizational development professional and a daredevil athlete. The book, published in four languages, maintains a 4.5-star rating on Amazon.com. Treasurer is recognized as the creator of "courage-building," an organizational development practice that empowers people and organizations to act more courageously.

Bill Treasurer is the editor of "POSITIVELY M.A.D. (Making a Difference)" (2004), which features stories from world-renowned experts aimed at inspiring organizational change. His insights and articles have appeared in over 100 newspapers, including The Washington Post and The New York Daily News, as well as in magazines such as Woman’s Day and The Harvard Management Update. He has been featured extensively for his expertise in leadership development and has designed programs for major entities including NASA, CNN, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Having conducted over 500 corporate workshops since 1991, Treasurer's leadership training focuses on strengthening leadership skills, improving team performance, and fostering an environment conducive to innovation. His notable keynote speeches, such as those at the annual Fortune Leadership Summit and the MCPON Leadership Mess Symposium, cover topics like courageous leadership and the power of humility in leadership. Treasurer holds an MS degree in Administrative Science from the University of Wisconsin, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was recognized on the National Deans List. He previously attended West Virginia University on a full athletic scholarship for springboard diving, and is a former member of the U.S. High Diving Team.
