Bill Watkins

Bill Watkins has enjoyed two decades of a career in the technology sector, with a focus on digital media. In 2014, Watkins joined Pinterest as one of the first 250 employees, and founded the company's Chicago office. Having joined the company pre-monetization, Watkins recruited and hired the initial sales team, developed sales and go-to-market strategies that launched ads monetization on Pinterest, and helped to grow the company’s business through its IPO.

In Watkins' current role as Chief Revenue Officer, he is a direct report of the CEO and a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, guiding the company's global sales organization and monetization efforts and overseeing more than 2,000 employees and a 10-figure revenue. Watkins is responsible for developing and executing the enterprise strategy and operations, working closely with client and agency partners, and collaborating with internal teams, such as ads product & ads engineering, to create scalable advertising tools and business solutions.

Prior to joining Pinterest in 2014, Watkins held multiple leadership positions at Yahoo and Demand Media. He earned a BS in management information systems from Miami University.

Watkins has a proven track record of building teams and driving business excellence in hyper-growth environments. He has been recognized as a digital thought leader and a 2019 Crain's 40 Under 40 award and Crain's Tech 50 award recipient.
