Blair Christie

Blair Christie is Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications for Cisco and is responsible for leading Cisco’s global investor relations, public and media relations, industry analysts relations, employee and executive communications, and Cisco’s global studio and Web 2.0/Intranet Strategy teams. She is also an executive sponsor for Cisco’s Communication and Collaboration Board, the cross-functional team responsible for guiding the deployment and use of Web 2.0 technologies throughout Cisco.

Under Christie’s leadership, Cisco’s Corporate Communications group was founded in 2006 by consolidating communications functions spread across Cisco. She has since grown the organization into an industry leader, and in 2008 Cisco received the “Silver Quill Excellence Award” for Cisco’s Virtual Company Meeting from the International Association of Business Communicators and four “Inspire Awards” for Employee Communications from the League of American Communications Professionals.

Previously at Cisco, Christie led the global investor relations team and, in 2005, Treasury Risk and Management recognized her as one of “The Top 40 Under 40” U.S. financial executives to watch. Under Christie’s leadership, Institutional Investor has recognized Cisco as having the top IR team in the communications equipment industry for five years in a row. Investor Relations magazine and Barron’s awarded Cisco’s IR team “Best Overall Investor Relations Program” in 2004 and “Best Investor Relations by a CEO” and “Best Senior Management Communications” in 2007.

Prior to joining Cisco, Christie was responsible for investor relations at InterDigital Communications Corporation and Aqua America, where her responsibilities also included government/public affairs and corporate giving efforts.

At Cisco, Christie sits on the Women’s Advisory Group Board and the EcoBoard and is an executive sponsor of the San Jose Women’s Action Network. She is a board member of the National Investor Relations Institute and a member of the Arthur Page Society.

Christie holds a B.S. in marketing and business administration and an MBA, concentrating in Investment Management, from Drexel University.
