Blessing Offor

Blessing Offor, a Nigerian-born, Nashville-based musician, lost his vision completely by age 10 due to a series of unfortunate incidents, including a congenital condition and an accident with a water gun. His parents, recognizing the better medical and educational opportunities in the U.S., made the painful decision to send him to America at the age of six. This separation, lasting over two decades, was a sacrifice for a potentially brighter future that Nigeria could not offer at the time.

Offor's passion for music provided solace and a path forward despite his blindness. He honed his craft by studying music at Belmont University, where he was influenced by notable educators and musicians. His unique sound blends pop, Motown, and jazz, influenced by artists like Stevie Wonder and infuses his music with themes of overcoming adversity and the joy of living. Offor has collaborated with well-known artists such as Chris Tomlin and Natalie Hemby, further enriching his musical career.

Currently, Offor is celebrated for his musical talent and his engaging ability to share his journey of overcoming obstacles and staying connected to his roots. This is encapsulated in his work on a personal documentary aimed at reconnecting him with his Nigerian heritage, marking his first return to Nigeria in over two decades. Offor’s ability to intertwine personal stories with performances offers a compelling package of inspiration and entertainment. His debut EP "Brighter Days" under Bowyer & Bow/Capitol Christian Music Group, produced by talents like Hank Bentley and Ed Cash, showcases his inviting vocal style and thought-provoking lyrics.
