Bonni Cohen Biography
Bonni Cohen has produced and directed an array of award-winning films, including most recently co-directing Audrie & Daisy about the impact of online harassment with Jon Shenk. She also produced The Island President, which Shenk directed.
In 2006, Cohen produced and directed The Rape Of Europa, which was nominated for two Emmy Awards and Best Documentary Screenplay by the Writers Guild of America. With documentary director Jon Else, she produced Wonders Are Many: The Making Of Doctor Atomic and his earlier film Open Outcry. Cohen co-produced Democracy Afghan in 2004 and in 2003 she produced and directed The New Heroes. She directed and produced Kofi Annan: Eye Of The Storm.
Before coming to documentary film, Cohen worked as a journalist for Reuters Television and NBC, based in London and Jerusalem. Cohen earned a Master’s degree in Documentary Film from Stanford University in 1994 and Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University in 1987.
