Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Wright, best known for her portrayal of Ginny Weasley in the global phenomenon "Harry Potter" film series, has made significant strides in her career beyond acting. As the founder of the production company BonBonLumiere, Wright made her directorial and screenwriting debut with the short film "Separate We Come, Separate We Go," which premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2012. Moreover, Wright's directorial pursuits continued with projects such as "Know Thyself," "Fade to Gold," and "Sextant," further expanding her repertoire. She also directed "Medusa's Ankles," starring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs, which was filmed in Lincoln, England, and premiered in 2018.

Wright's talents extend beyond the realm of film, as evidenced by her work in various mediums. She directed the music video for Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson's single "Iguana Bird" and narrated an audiobook adaptation of "Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump" from "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" to aid the charity Lumos. Demonstrating culinary prowess, Wright won the first episode of the third series of "The Great Sport Relief Bake Off," earning the title of "Star Baker."

She collaborated with Greenpeace to monitor plastic waste in the oceans and visited Coca-Cola headquarters in 2018 to deliver a petition against single-use plastic. Her book "Go Gently: Actionable Steps to Nurture Yourself and the Planet" was published in April 2022. In addition to her work with Greenpeace, Wright also serves as an ambassador for the Rainforest Alliance and Lumos, a children's organization founded by J.K. Rowling. Furthermore, Wright has publicly shown her support for transgender rights and the LGBTQ community.
