Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile is an eleven-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, performer, producer, and New York Times Bestselling author. Her work spans genres including folk rock, alternative country, and Americana. Furthermore, she is an active participant in humanitarian aid, COVID-19 relief, racial justice, and LGBT rights.

Active in her music career since 2004, Carlile has released notable albums such as "By the Way, I Forgive You" and "In These Silent Days" and has worked on several studio projects. Some of her work includes her rendition of "Home" featured on the final season of "Ted Lasso", Brandy Clark’s self-titled album, and forthcoming albums from Tanya Tucker and Joni Mitchell. In 2025, she received her first Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for "Never Too Late," a collaboration with Elton John. They also released a studio album together, "Who Believes in Angels?"

Carlile's live performances have been highly regarded. Tours planned through 2023 include her “Echoes Through the Canyon” weekend at Washington's Gorge Amphitheater in June, select headline performances, and several dates with P!NK. In 2022 and 2025, she made appearances on NBC's "Saturday Night Live." She has also collaborated with The Highwomen, Soundgarden, Alicia Keys, Dolly Parton, and more. Among her other accolades, Carlile has received the Billboard’s Women In Music “Trailblazer Award,” CMT’s Next Women of Country “Impact Award,” and multiple recognitions from the Americana Music Association.

Beyond her music career, Carlile is a founder of the Looking Out Foundation, which has raised nearly $6 million for various causes. She is also known for her involvement in activism, focusing on issues like racial justice and LGBT rights. Carlile lives in rural Washington state with her wife, Catherine, and their two daughters, Evangeline and Elijah.
