Bret Ernst began his career as a stand-up comedian, gaining recognition in the "Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights – Hollywood to the Heartland." His comedic talent didn't go unnoticed as he soon found himself on well-known platforms such as "Comedy Central Presents" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." Ernst also made a foray into the music industry, appearing in Kesha's "Blah Blah Blah" music video.
In 2006, Ernst served as a commentator on the MTV wrestling show "Wrestling Society X." Following this, he was chosen to host the first season of "Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too." His Comedy Central half-hour special was a hit, being voted as one of the "TOP 5" of all of 2010. This success was followed by the release of his first comedy album, "American Comic," which broke into the "TOP 10" on iTunes in its first week. In 2018, Ernst shared his one-hour standup special "Principals Office" on YouTube for free. More recently, he has played Louie LaRusso Jr. on Netflix's "Cobra Kai" and released his special "Domesticated Animal."
